Maureen has been in leadership in Ipswich International Church since 1997 when Elim Headquarters appointed her and her husband, Steve. Prior to coming to Ipswich, Maureen spent several years on the mission field both in Brazil and Portugal as well as ministering in other countries.
She has served in several capacities: leading the Women’s Work, Sunday school, community work and has served on the Eldership since Pastor Steve was called home in 2006. She currently runs the English Language project at the Oasis Centre, an Ipswich International Church’s community engagement.
Maureen’s passion is teaching, training and development and one of her greatest delights is to see young people coming into leadership in the Church, seeing them teach and train others and growing in maturity in God.
Maureen trained in Business at The Royal School of Business in Glasgow, went on to higher education at the Institute of Higher Education in Swansea, and gained an Executive Assistant Diploma at the London Chamber of Commerce. She is a qualified ESOL English Teacher and a member of the Faculty of Teachers in Commerce.
Her hobbies are travelling, swimming, reading, walking by the sea and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She has four grown-up children and five grandchildren whom she adores.
